Audible or Bells Only Alarm
An 'audible only' or a 'bells only alarm' system, will not get an automated police response, but the activation would result in informing the burglar that they have been detected and may motivate them to leave.
The mere presence of an alarm system may also persuade a burglar to find an easier target.
An audible only alarm system which has been activated would rely upon a witness to alert the police or home owner that an offence is in progress - how many times have you heard an intruder alarm going off and done something about it?
It is always best practice, as well as an home insurance requirement to have your alarm under a Maintenance Contract. |

Remote Signalling Alarm
These are intruder alarms terminating at approved central monitoring station. Such alarms will be registered with the police and identified by a unique reference number (URN) and can include personal attack alarms.
The police response to their activation will be based on the assumption that an offence is taking place, but against the background of competing urgent calls and available resources. Such a response will also be conditional upon the number of false activations in any 12 month period, in which case the activation may receive a lower priority police attendance.
Please note that a Remote Signalling Alarm must be under a maintenance contract and maintained and used in accordance with European Standards.
We not only install new alarms, but are pleased to offer upgrades or take over contracts of existing intruder alarms. |
